Hydraulic Hero (“we,” “us,” “our”) provides mobile hydraulic hose repair services across Greater Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. We respect your privacy and are committed to handling your personal information responsibly and in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and the British Columbia Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

This policy explains what information we collect when you use this website (mobilehydraulichoserepair.ca) or contact us, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

1. Information we collect

We only collect what we need to respond to your request and run our business.

  • Information you give us directly through the contact form, by phone, by SMS / text message (including any photos of equipment you choose to send), or by email โ€” such as your name, phone number, email address, job site or equipment location, the type of equipment you operate, and a brief description of your hydraulic issue.
  • Service information created when we perform work for you โ€” including invoice records, photos of the equipment we worked on (with permission where applicable), the hose specifications we installed, and on-site payment details.
  • Automatic technical information collected by your browser when you visit our site โ€” IP address, device type, browser type, referring URL, and pages viewed, used for security, analytics and to keep the site working.
  • Cookies and similar technologies โ€” see Section 4 below.

2. How we use your information

  • To dispatch a technician and complete your hydraulic hose repair.
  • To respond to enquiries, quote work, and provide ongoing service or maintenance.
  • To process payments and produce invoices.
  • To comply with legal, tax, insurance and safety obligations (including spill reporting under BC’s Spill Reporting Regulation where applicable).
  • To improve our website, marketing and customer service.
  • To detect, prevent and respond to fraud, abuse or technical issues.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Third-party service providers

We use a small number of trusted third parties to operate the website and our business. These providers receive only the information they need and are bound by their own privacy policies and contractual obligations:

  • Web3Forms โ€” processes contact form submissions and forwards them to us by email. Form data (name, phone, location, equipment type, message) is transmitted to Web3Forms’ servers. See web3forms.com/privacy.
  • Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) โ€” provides aggregated, mostly anonymized website usage statistics so we can understand how visitors find and use our site. Google may store and process this data outside of Canada. See policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Google Ads (Google LLC) โ€” measures the performance of our advertising, including conversion events such as phone clicks and form submissions, using cookies and tags. You can opt out at adssettings.google.com.
  • Hostinger โ€” our web hosting provider, which stores the static files for this website and standard server logs.
  • Payment processors โ€” when you pay on-site by card, your payment data is handled by a PCI-DSS compliant terminal provider (such as Square or Stripe). We do not store full card numbers.

4. Cookies and tracking

This website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies for two purposes:

  • Strictly necessary โ€” to keep the website functional and secure.
  • Analytics and advertising โ€” Google Analytics and Google Ads tags help us measure traffic and the effectiveness of our advertising. These cookies may include identifiers used to attribute conversions.

You can control cookies from your browser settings, install browser extensions such as the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on, and adjust ad personalization at adssettings.google.com.

5. How long we keep your information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above and to meet legal, tax and insurance retention obligations. Service and invoice records are generally retained for at least seven years after the year of service to comply with Canadian tax requirements.

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS) on this website, access controls on our internal systems, and PCI-DSS compliant payment terminals. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights

Under PIPEDA and BC PIPA you have the right to:

  • Ask whether we hold personal information about you, and to access a copy of it;
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate information;
  • Withdraw your consent to our use of your information at any time (subject to legal or contractual restrictions);
  • Make a complaint to us, to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.

8. Children

This website and our services are directed to businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
